TFO Final Dissemination Tour - Third Workshop in Seronga, Botswana

A short overview

On Saturday July 18th, 2015 the third workshop of the TFO Final Dissemination Tour was held at the Kgotla in Seronga, one of the core sites of the TFO research project.

The workshop was opened by a welcome address of the Seronga Kgosi, Chief Maeze. After the joint overview on the TFO project´s results by Mike Murray-Hudson, ORI, and Norbert Jürgens, University of Hamburg, short presentations on selected TFO findings were given by the TFO-students from the Okavango Research Institute: Aobakwe Lubinda, Gaolathe Tsheboeng (Riverine Woodlands), Connie Gwatidzo (Agriculture and Soil Sciences), Dimpho M. Matlhola (Tourism), Keoikantes Sianga (Wildlife migration) and Kgalalelo Thito (Flood Pulses).

Afterwards local stakeholders involved in the research project gave insight into their respective experiences and the key findings of the research project were discussed with the community.

At the end, the Final Synthesis Report and the TFO stakeholder calendar were distributed. The day ended with a screening of the films realized within TFO with participation of the local stakeholder.
