The first event of the TFO Final Dissemination Tour in Angola took place on Friday, 24th July 2015 in Chitembo and was hosted by the TFO partners from ISCE-Huíla in Lubango in collaboration with the administration of the Municipality of Chitembo.

In total, around 60 participants attended the event. Representatives came from governmental agencies including decision-makers from the provinces of Bié and Cuando Cubango, from the municipality of Chitembo and the Sobas (local authorities) from the villages of the core site of Cusseque, as well as from NGOs, media and universities. Welcome addresses were given by Dr. Daniel Mucanda Mtumbo Chilunga, Administrator of the Municipality of Chitembo, as well as by Prof. Fernanda Lages, TFO speaker for Angola from ISCED. Several presentations on key findings with a special focus on studies from the Chitembo area, linked to respective recommendations for action were held jointly by Angolan and German TFO colleagues (see program for details). A final speech has been given by the Provincial Director of Trade Ludmila Gomes, representing the Vice-Governor of the Bié province, before the different TFO products were distributed. The film produced by the para-ecologists on research results marked the end of the day.

The next day, the TFO team made a joint field trip to the core site of Cusseque. Here, also the calendars were distributed to the local stakeholders.
